Product Description

Part 2 of a 3 part weather-resistant and flexible paint system from Dulux Trade specifically developed to give longer lasting protection for exterior woodwork. Provides 8 year weathering durability, when used as part of the full Weathershield exterior paint system.

Application Description

Application : Brush only. For health and safety reasons related to all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended. STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE. Apply 1 coat of the appropriate coloured Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat to all primed wood (Recommend using with part 1, 1 coat of Weathershield Preservative Primer+ (BP) to new or bare wood). Apply a second coat of Weathershield Exterior Flexible Undercoat overall, followed by part 3, 1 coat of Weathershield Exterior High Gloss. Where a special process colour is to be used, or where a strong colour change is required, additional coats will be required (see appropriate Dulux Trade colour card).

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    For the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces must be fully dry). Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens and algae with a suitable fungicidal wash. See Dulux Trade Datasheet 402 for full information, available at www.duluxtrade.co.uk or by telephoning 0333 222 70 70. Before surface preparation, read the Health & Safety information about old lead paints.
  • 2. Cleaning
    After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with brush cleaner
  • 3. Storing
    Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost
