Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
All surfaces should be clean and dry. If it has been painted previously coated, loose flaking wood should be stripped back to bare wood. Test a small area first for colour and adhesion. The final colour will vary depending on the surface and the number of coats. If adhesion is inadequate on previous coatings, lightly sand before application. Make sure wood has been pre treated with appropriate wood preserver to prevent decay.
