This year's London Homebuilding & Renovating Show and Home Improvement Show was a roaring success

Trade Talks: How to photograph your work

It's now two weeks since the London Homebuilding & Renovating and Home Improvement show and we are still revelling in the success of the show. Dulux Select Decorators have exhibited at a number of events this year but the recent show was probably our best so far.

Thousands of visitors rolled through the doors at the Olympia Conference Centre, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September. Without doubt the show was the busiest we have attended, with lots of eager visitors, visiting us for painting and decorating advice. On hand was Dulux Select Decorator, Matt Shopper from London, who did a fantastic job of promoting the scheme and speaking to so many visitors! Matt mentioned that "It was a lot of fun and great to be able to help homeowners with their decorating queries."

Dulux Select Decorators wasn't the only Dulux scheme to attend the event with Dulux Decorators Centres and Dulux Design Services also exhibiting. The three schemes worked well together with Select providing the practical knowledge, the Design Service delivering the beautiful aspect and the Decorator Centre supplying the technical knowledge.

The stand consisted of a room set designed by Marianne Shillingford, Design Director for Dulux Design Service and an advice centre for visitors. The stand decoration and practicality was well received by visitors, with many mentioning how great it looked and how useful they found it. Goody bags were given out to all visitors who popped by, including information on how to find their local Dulux Select Decorator.

Throughout the 3 days at Olympia we ran a competition, while entries were vast there had to be one winner of the Fortnum and Mason Hamper. The winner was (drumroll please)... Michelle Buschl from London. The pleased winner said "I've never won anything before, it's very exciting! Thanks Dulux Select Decorators!"

Even though we are very happy with how this show has gone, there is no time to lose as our next event in Edinburgh is less than a month away!
