Visit Dulux Trade's Neighbourhood at Ecobuild

As the countdown to this year's Ecobuild begins, we can reveal that Dulux Trade is planning to unveil a show-stopping stand, set to be one of the biggest and most exciting stands at the show.

Taking place from 8th - 10th March at ExCeL London, visitors can find Dulux Trade's 'Neighbourhood Swatch' at stand E4070 - although we're fairly confident you won't be able to miss it! The unique 180m sq experiential 'neighbourhood community' space promises to inspire and educate, as well as showcasing our commitment to leading the paint manufacturing industry into a brighter, more sustainable future.

Modelled on a mini town centre (complete with clock tower), the stand features five different learning zones where visitors can learn how Dulux Trade can help them reduce environmental impact and bring colour to their customers and end users' lives. It's also a great opportunity for attendees to discover firsthand how they can sustainably and positively transform spaces with Dulux Trade products, tools and services that benefit their business.

And as it's Ecobuild, it goes without saying that everything on the stand itself (where possible) will be made using renewable and sustainable materials.

The Community Centre

At the heart of the stand is the 'Community Centre', which will feature demonstrations of Dulux Trade services and tools, some of which have been revamped or upgraded including the latest Dulux Trade Paint Expert Specifier App, newly updated for this year and using augmented reality technology.

The Brighter Future Zone

Children are at the beating heart of any community, so in recognition of this, the Dulux Trade stand will feature two classrooms juxtaposing a 'standard' classroom with the design of a classroom under the Dulux Trade Smarter Spaces initiative. Bringing together project management, colour and design services for the education sector, our full range of services for specifiers including head teachers and architects will be showcased.

Dulux Trade will showcase another first - our realisation of our long-term commitment to developing the building industry's next generation. Visitors will experience the new Dulux Academy ahead of it's launch later this month, which has been established to give specialist painting and decorating tuition to help give students a foothold into the industry. Visit us on the stand to find out about the wide variety of courses on offer as well as our new City & Guilds Level 3 Qualification.

Demonstration Zone

Visitors will see Dulux Academy trainers apply our new water-based products and be able to quiz our experts about any product or decorating questions they have. This area will also give specifiers the opportunity to understand how they can access Dulux Trade's new Contract Partnership service, recently revamped to make high quality commercial decorating even more accessible to specifiers.

ReColour Zone

Last year at Ecobuild, AkzoNobel, parent company of Dulux Trade, presented its collaboration with partners Community RePaint, an organisation that collects and re-distributes reusable leftover paint to those in social need, and NewLife Paints Ltd, who specialise in remanufacturing waste paint into new paint. This year, AkzoNobel will announce ReColour - which is the result of this successful partnership. The first remanufacturing hub has been launched in Cambridgeshire. Here Community RePaint are now actively diverting leftover paint from landfill and recycling it for reuse by communities and charities. It is hoped that the hub will produce 60,000 litres of new paint in the first year, all sold at minimal cost to those in social need. Ecobuild visitors can learn more about the project and future plans on the stand.

The Dulux Dog

Of course, no Dulux show would be complete without the appearance of our very own celebrity - Herbert the Dulux Old English Sheepdog dog. Herbert will be in residence in the stand's Neighbourhood Swatch park. Come and have your photo taken with him and find out a little about the life of a Dulux 'icon' from owner Gina Willis.
