A record number of attendees and high spirits contributed to a fun filled evening. For those staying at the hotel (which was most), the agenda started early with a few early drinks, a spot of snooker or a relax in the spa. 6pm signaled the official start of the party, guests gathered in the suite mingling with faces old and new, whilst enjoying a glass of champagne and canapes. Across the hall, Lewis the Dulux Dog was looking his best having photo after photo taken with eager guests.

Guests then took their places at their tables and a couple of hours later - three courses, tea and coffee, and several bottles of wine had been consumed, leaving the anticipated presentation of the Dulux Select Decorator awards 2015. Taking to the stage to present the awards were Jenny Hall, Dulux Marketing Director and Peter Doyle, Dulux Technical Training Consultant for Decorators. Category winners announced, the chosen few were about to find out if they would become the Grand Winner and Dulux Select Decorator of the Year. We are proud to announce that the eventual winner was long serving member and Fellow of the scheme, Robbie Dodds based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. You can see the full list and photos of the winners here. Awards handed out, it was time to celebrate and there was certainly no shortage of celebrations.

With the disco in full swing and the bar open till late, the 2015 Select Winter Party continued into the early hours and wrapped up what had proved a fantastic event. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, which in fact resulted in record numbers for the event. A big thank you to all members who attended, we're already starting to hear positive feedback, bring on 2016!
