"Make jobs faster and easier": feedback from a recent Spray course

However long you have been in the industry, it's never too late to learn new skills.

At recent Spray courses we've welcomed a range of delegates with various levels of experience. As well as relative newcomers, we've also seen many experienced decorators looking to add another string to their bow.

One such attendee is Tristan Graham. Tristan is based in Aldershot, Hampshire, and can boast almost 25 years in the painting and decorating industry.

He says: "I'm always looking at the courses, loads I'm interested in - it's just when I've got the availability to do them. I'm fitting in as many as I can."

Courses to help you focus on winning more work

Tristan is no stranger to Dulux Academy having previously attended courses including business improvement and Colour & Design.

After discussion with Tony at the Dulux Academy, Tristan decided to take both the Introduction to Spray and the Advanced course in the same week.

Tristan explains: "I've been thinking about doing a spray course for a while and the dates at the Academy worked for me. I decided to start with HVLP as that will make some fiddly jobs faster and easier, and possibly move into airless at a later date."

Tristan signed up for the two Spray courses to improve his skills and confidence with spray technology, and to gain an understanding of the equipment that is available. "It means I can focus on getting more spray jobs with the skills I've learnt. It will help on some jobs more than others." "I've learnt that I need a HVLP sprayer and basic application techniques which will help business going forward," he adds.
