On Tuesday 27th February Dulux Trade hosted an exclusive Future Proofing Design event at RIBA's iconic Florence Hall, with over 200 architects and designers in attendance.

The panel event was created to mark the release of Dulux Colour Futures 2018, an annual colour trend report which has become increasingly influential for professionals in the fields of design and architecture.

Introduced by Dulux Creative Director Marianne Shillingford, and hosted by Dezeen's founder and Editor in Chief Marcus Fairs, the panel discussion explored how fast-paced technological, political and social developments are impacting how we engage with spaces and how the design sector can future-proof its projects in this time of change.

Marcus was joined on the panel by Dulux Senior Global Colour Designer, Louise Tod, Mark Dytham MBE co-founder of Klein Dytham Architecture and Dara Huang, co-founder of Design Haus Liberty; all bringing their views and experience in future proofing spaces through innovative and effective design.
