Spray courses are designed to help you get more jobs

Having previously attended several Dulux Academy courses including business improvement and Colour & Design, Tristan signed up for the Spray courses to improve his skills. Despite his vast experience, Tristan believes it's never too late to learn and to develop new ways of working.

He says: "I'm always looking at the courses, loads I'm interested in - it's just when I've got the availability to do them. January is a quiet period so I'm fitting in as many as I can."

The Spray courses are designed to help you to improve your skills and confidence with spray technology and to gain an understanding of the equipment that is available.

After discussion with Tony at the Dulux Academy, Tristan decided to take both the Introduction to Spray and the Advanced course in the same week.

Tristan explains: "I've been thinking about doing a spray course for a while and the dates at the Academy worked for me. I decided to start with HVLP as that will make some fiddly jobs faster and easier, and possibly move into airless at a later date.

"I've learnt that I need a HVLP sprayer and basic application techniques which will help business going forward. It means I can focus on getting more spray jobs with the skills I've learnt. It will help on some jobs more than others."

The overall experience of the course is something that keeps Tristan coming back. Would he recommend the course and the Academy?

"I definitely would," he says. "Good value courses and it's always good to meet other decorators."
