Cumbria decorator enjoys very special trip on Orient Express

As a special 'thank you' to our Contract Direct customers, we launched an exclusive rewards promotion in May 2017. This promotion gave you a chance to choose from a number of fantastic experiences and qualify for rewards based on a tiered sales target.

Cumbria-based AJM Decorating qualified for the gold tier of rewards, and chose a Christmas lunch trip on the Orient Express and a two-night stay at London's five-star Belmond Pullman Hotel.

Managing Director, Adrian Morris explains why he activated his registration for the rewards programme. He says: "we are a big advocate of Dulux and their paint, so we buy a lot of materials annually from them."

Operations Director, Tony Retallick and partner Harriet Wise were the lucky pair who got to enjoy the London weekend and Orient Express lunch. Harriet says: "We had an unforgettable, wonderful experience on the Orient Express - a 'once in a lifetime' experience!

"Everything was superb aboard the train, and the welcome was spectacular. You're made to feel like a VIP from the moment you arrive at check-in, until you leave the train. The table setting was beautiful, with champagne and wine flowing throughout.

"Meeting other decorating companies and socialising with them was also a good networking opportunity. Overall, it was a most amazing experience, which I highly recommend and would do again. We didn't want to leave! Thank you, Dulux for the amazing memories!"

AJM achieve accolade of the joint-highest rated company in the UK

It's been a terrific year for AJM Decorating. As well as qualifying for the gold tier of our rewards programme, the company also achieved the accolade of being one of the top-rated Dulux Contract Partners in the country. Adrian Morris said: "This is huge for us and certainly our biggest achievement to date.

"We have also just broken the record for our amount of decorators working for us, which is now 42, and we have branched into four areas - Kendal, Carlisle, Dumfries and Lancaster."
