Academy offers amazing opportunities for National Apprenticeship Week

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) was created to celebrate the success of apprenticeships. Now in its 11th year, employers and apprentices from across England will come together between 5 and 9 March to showcase the apprenticeship path and to encourage more people to choose this career route.

Dulux Academy are proud to be involved with #NAW2018 and we are always looking to build better relationships with colleges across the country.

As part of our investment in the future of the industry, we're hosting some very special events between 6 and 8 March 2018.

We're offering 50 apprenticeship training day spaces across our Slough and Ashington Dulux Academies to give young people a taste of the quality training opportunities that are available to them.

This year's National Apprenticeship Weeks coincides with Dulux Academy's second birthday, and so it promises to be a great few days of celebration.

Dulux Academy offers great opportunities for apprentices

At Dulux Academy, we're committed to providing training - whatever stage of your decorating career you are at. This means that if you're just starting out in the industry, or you're thinking of becoming an apprentice, we have courses that will suit your personal and career ambitions.

Examples of courses that are well-suited to apprentices include:

Painting and Decorating Stage 1 - learn about the preparation processes required to achieve quality finishes with both painted surfaces and wallcoverings. Develop your skills in application techniques incorporating cutting in and roller finishes.
Introduction to Spray Application - develop your understanding of the setting up of spray machines. Develop masking and spray application techniques.
Wallpapering Techniques - develop your skills and confidence in measuring and wallpapering techniques including awkward areas. Understand the correct tools and equipment needed for wallpapering.
Perfect Preparation - gain an understanding of surface preparation standards and an overview of various types of preparatory products. Develop your skills in a range of filling methods.
