5 of Our Favourite Highlights from 2015

2015 has been a busy year for us at Dulux Trade. Before we look ahead to the exciting plans in store for 2016, we thought we'd round up our stand-out moments of the last 12 months, just in case you missed them.

1. Colour Futures 2016

Our biggest news of the year was the launch of our Colour Futures 16 palettes, including the Colour of the Year 2016, Cherished Gold. Inspired by the huge popularity of metallic tones in the design world and the success of the current Colour of the Year, Copper Blush, this versatile shade works with pale pastels and rich opulent reds alike. Find out more about our CF16 palettes here.

2. Jimmy Bullard goes back to his roots in Fulham

In August we announced that ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard was making a return to his former career as a professional decorator for a one-day loan, in partnership with Armstead Trade. Fans entered via Twitter and the Dulux Trade Paint Expert site for the chance to secure Jimmy for their team. The winning decorators were Shipps Building Services in Fulham, who benefitted from Jimmy's services (and banter) for the day. 3. Dulux Trade & Architect's Journal - How Colour Transforms Spaces

This April, leading publication Architect's Journal and Dulux Trade presented an evening with key industry figures on the subject of colour. 'How Colour Transforms Spaces' was hosted at Dulux partner Material Lab's London showroom, where speakers including architect James Pickard of Cartwright Pickard Architects and acclaimed artist and designer Morag Myerscough discussed the subject of transformative colour in everyday architecture, from social housing to commercial office spaces. Watch our video from the event to find out more.

The Dulux Let's Colour Awards

4. The Dulux Let's Colour Awards

2015 saw the third annual Dulux Let's Colour Awards take place. A celebration of colour in all aspects of design, from fashion and beauty, to public spaces and cultural events, the awards put the spotlight on the creative talents that have brought colour into our lives over the last 12 months. Winners were selected from each of the seven categories by a panel of industry experts. The award for the Best use of Colour in Commercial Architecture and Buildings went to Aberrant Architecture for Rosemary Works School. See their winning project here.

5. Dulux Trade takes part in the London Revolution

Dulux Trade was proud to be the colour sponsor for the Mitie London Revolution in May, which circumnavigated the capital covering 188 miles in two days. Our 150 strong team was made up of employees, suppliers, decorators, contractors and merchants all with one ultimate goal - to raise £100,000 for The Outward Bound Trust, an organisation that helps young people unlock their potential through outdoor activities. Read more about our involvement in the event and find out how we did here.
